His Worship the Mayor of Kingston, Councillor Andrew A. Swaby, JP has congratulated Dr. Kevin Blake, OD on assuming the office of Commissioner of Police.

In a letter to the newly-appointed Commissioner who takes over from Major General Anthony Anderson, Mayor Swaby expressed his confidence in Dr. Blake based on his many years of experience, along with his qualifications and strategic acuity.

Mayor Swaby further expressed the view that the country’s police force will continue on a positive trajectory under his leadership while stating his intention as the newly-elected Mayor of Kingston, to partner with Commissioner Blake and the JCF to create lasting and sustainable change in the society-particularly for the residents of Kingston and St. Andrew.

“I wish you all the very best. We here at the Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC) stand ready to render any assistance and offer our support as we strive to create mutually sustainable change,” Mayor Swaby expressed in the letter.
