Groundbreaking ceremony for the rehabilitation of Maverley Park
On Tuesday, August 23, 2022, the Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the rehabilitation of Maverley Park in North West St. Andrew, to transform what has been a dust bowl into a recreational park and green area for the residents of Maverley and surrounding communities.
Transforming spaces adds to the social and economic development of communities. This KSAMC transformational project is geared towards improving community life and providing employment for residents.
The municipality will be aiming to plant some 100+ trees inside Maverley Park, as part of this project. More details to include plans for rainwater harvesting and other environmentally friendly measures will be shared by the KSAMC momentarily.
