Councillor Andrew Swaby, JP who represents the Vineyard Town division was sworn in as His Worship the Mayor of Kingston, on Tuesday.

Mayor Swaby’s installation took place at a Statutory Meeting for the declaration of Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC) Councillors and selection of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Kingston.

Former Mayor of Kingston, Senator Delroy Williams, CD (Seivwright Gardens division) was sworn in as Deputy Mayor of Kingston.

The meeting was held in accordance with Section 61 of the First Schedule and Section 29 of the Local Governance Act 2016, for the purpose of affirming Councillors and selecting a Chairman/Mayor and Vice- Chairman/Deputy Mayor.
