UNDP Celebrating 50 Years

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is celebrating fifty years of service to Jamaica, marking a long-standing and meaningful partnership with our country. Since the agreement formalizing UNDP’s presence in Jamaica took effect on January 26, 1976, the organization has played a pivotal role in supporting national development and strengthening public institutions. Through its work in Jamaica and across the wider Caribbean, UNDP has contributed significantly to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals and improving the lives of many of our people.

As we observe this milestone, under the theme “A Legacy of Resilience: 50 Years and Counting,” we commend the UNDP for its enduring contribution and continued commitment to Jamaica’s development.

The Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC), extends sincere congratulations and appreciation to the UNDP for its service to Jamaica.
